Bell Museum of Natural History
I was a biology major in college, this shoot was a treat from start to finish- documenting the Bell Museum of Natural History before it opened to the public.
A polar bear covered in plastic, a wooly mammoth in progress, a little girl interacting with a giant owl wing- shoot heaven.
These two images were both contenders for the cover of the University of Minnesota magazine, they ended up using the little girl’s hand on the owl head- so sweet for a museum that encourages exploration and hands on opportunities.
We made some photographs in the facility that creates the animals for exhibits. This wooly mammoth now sits in the spotlight at the Bell Museum in Minnesota.
We even made a portrait of the architect of this world class museum.
